Easter Morning | Fallbrook Family Photographer

Easter morning was at Grandma’s house. My Grandma? No. But as I walked in the door a wave of deliciousness washed over me. If I’d closed my eyes I definitely could have been at my Grandma’s.  Muffins, cakes, cheesy potato casseroles, ham, cupcakes, super YUM!! All the grandkids were gathered for the annual easter egg hunt. Big kids and small kids were searching for the golden egg – and also finding eggs stuffed with really great goodies. Then families had the chance to hop in front of my camera. It was around eleven but we still managed to find some great light for our pics. I seriously wish I could have spent an hour with each kid – or at least each group of kids – to get to know them, help them not be shy, and make them smile from sheer goofiness. I’m convinced that in the end all kids will love me – or maybe it’s just my candy!!  Either way – everyone was GREAT and I especially love this picture of a most beloved grandpa . . .

About 10 years ago, I took all of the cake decorating classes that Jo-Ann’s offered. I remember buying those Wilton cake books and pouring over the pretty designs. But I’ve never seen an easter cake as fun as this one:

Sandi – these are for you! These would look fabulous on canvas or as a textured print!
